Product description
The cold-mounting resins we offer are professional cold-mounting resins, ideally suited to the cold mounting presses we offer. In order to meet different, individual needs of customers, we provide various types of cold resins – both in the case of acrylic and epoxy resins. In the case of acrylic resins, metallographic acrylic resin granules and hardener are a special chemical product for the preparation of metallographic specimens. Our cold resins are characterized by a stable and fast curing at room temperature, a small amount of bubbles, long-term storage, no discoloration and high hardness.
Cold resins are ideal for mounting materials that are highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations. By using our cold mounting resins, the user can achieve a permanent stabilization of the sample without any changes to the samples themselves.
Our experienced consultants will be happy to help you choose the right type of resins for your work and the samples you use.

What are the characteristics of cold mounting resins?
Cold mounting resins are special materials used in metallographic laboratories for preparing samples that require detailed microscopic analysis. The cold mounting process involves surrounding the sample with resin, which provides protection and allows for precise grinding and polishing. This type of resin is ideal for samples sensitive to high temperatures, where traditional hot mounting techniques could damage them.
What types of cold mounting resins do we offer?
One type is acrylic resins, the most popular material used in cold mounting. They are characterized by a fast curing time and ease of application. They are ideal for rapid sample preparation, which is especially useful in high-throughput laboratories.
Cold epoxy resins, on the other hand, offer exceptional durability and chemical stability. Compared to acrylic resins, epoxy resins cure more slowly but provide much better mechanical properties, making them ideal for demanding applications.
Cold mounting resins thus represent a broad category of materials that include both acrylic and epoxy products. This allows for tailoring the choice of resin to the specific needs of the analysis. Cold resins are used in situations where samples are sensitive to high temperatures, and the curing process must occur under controlled conditions without excessive heating.
Cold mounting resins are therefore extremely useful materials employed in modern metallographic and materials laboratories. They not only protect samples but also enable precise surface preparation for further examination. At Endo-Tech, you can find both acrylic and epoxy resins. Each type meets all safety requirements and standards.
